Privacy policy for Spice Dynasty

Who we are

Spice Dynasty is made by Bounceback Studios, the registered business name of a sole trader in Australia, ABN 24 362 033 828. Contact: support@bouncebackstudios.app. We are the party responsible for the data this policy describes.

The short version

What stays on your device

Network requests the game makes, and why

The game itself makes no internet request of its own. The software libraries below make requests on its behalf, and only for these reasons.

  1. Ads (Google AdMob): Android, iPhone and iPad. Once consent allows ads, Google’s ads software starts, loads a rewarded ad in the background so one is ready when you tap, and reports when an ad is watched. See “Ads”.
  2. Consent (Google User Messaging Platform): Android, iPhone and iPad. Only after you answer the game’s ads notice, and before the ads software starts, Google’s consent tool checks whether a consent form is required where you are and shows it if so.
  3. Purchases (Google Play Billing), Android only. When the game’s store screen loads prices, when you buy or restore an item, and from time to time to check what this Google account owns.
  4. Purchases (Apple’s App Store, StoreKit), iPhone and iPad only. When the game starts or comes back to the screen it asks the App Store for prices and which purchases this Apple Account owns, and again when you buy or restore an item. Those requests go to Apple, not to us.

A problem report or feedback goes by your own mail app, not by the game, and only when you send it there. The game does not request anything else, and no cloud save exists in this version.

Ads

On Android the game can offer a rewarded video ad served by Google AdMob, but only when you tap a button that offers one (for example the x2 boost, doubling what you earned while away, or skipping ahead). It never shows an ad you did not ask for; there are no banners and no pop-up ads. If you buy “Remove Ads” or “Permanent Boost”, the game stops offering ads.

To serve ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the game contacts Google. According to Google’s page for the SDK (developers.google.com/admob/android/privacy/play-data-disclosure), it collects and shares, for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention:

Data is encrypted in transit. Ad requests are tagged as not child-directed, with a maximum ad content rating of T (teen). Ads are personalised only if you chose “Personalised ads” in the ads notice and, where a consent form applies (see below), allowed it there too; with “Non-personalised ads”, every ad request asks Google for non-personalised ads. We do not receive this data and cannot see which ads you were shown. Google handles it under its own policies (policies.google.com/technologies/ads). Nothing from your save is given to the ads software.

Your advertising ID. It is an Android setting, not ours. You can reset or delete it in Android Settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads, wording varies by phone) and opt out of ad personalisation there.

On iPhone and iPad the rewarded ads are offered in the same places, by the same buttons, and the ads code is the Google Mobile Ads SDK for iOS. Every ad request asks Google for non-personalised ads only, and the game never shows Apple’s “Allow to track” prompt, so the ads code cannot read your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA). According to Google’s App Store data disclosure for the SDK (developers.google.com/admob/ios/privacy/data-disclosure, read on 6 November 2026, describing SDK version 13.12.0; this game ships version 13.9), the SDK may collect: crash logs (not tied to you) and performance data such as app launch time, hang rate and energy use, used to diagnose problems, for analytics and for advertising; a device identifier, meaning an identifier Apple gives our apps on your device (other companies’ apps get a different one); which ads you were shown; your approximate location worked out from your IP address; and how you interact with ads and the game’s ad requests (such as app launches, taps and video views). Google uses this to show, count and measure ads and to prevent fraud. Ads are chosen from what kind of game this is and your approximate area, not your interests. Ad requests are tagged as not child-directed, with a maximum ad content rating of T (teen), as on Android. We do not receive this data and cannot see which ads you were shown. Nothing from your save is given to the ads software.

The ads notice. The first time you tap a button that offers an ad, the game tells you, once, that ads send your device’s advertising ID and IP address to Google, which pays us for each ad, and asks you to choose “Personalised ads” or “Non-personalised ads”. Both are free and both show ads; “Remove ads” is a separate purchase, offered on the notice when Google Play has its price. Until you choose, the ads software does not start and nothing is sent to Google. You can change your answer at any time in Settings > Ads and your data. If you own “Remove ads” or the Permanent Boost, you are never asked.

After your answer, where the law requires it (for example the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), Google’s User Messaging Platform shows a consent form before the ads software starts. Ads load only if your answer allows. Where a privacy choices form is required, Settings shows an “Ad privacy choices” button that reopens it, so you can change your answer at any time. The form and your answer are handled by Google’s consent tool on your phone.

On iPhone and iPad the ads notice appears the same way, the first time you tap a button that offers an ad, and has a single “OK”, because ads there are always non-personalised: it tells you what the ads code sends to Google, which pays us for each ad. Until you tap OK, the ads code does not start and nothing is sent to Google; closing the notice without tapping OK plays no ad, and it comes back with the next ad tap. You can read it again at any time in Settings > Ads and your data. It offers “Remove ads”, the separate purchase, when the App Store has its price. Google’s consent form and the “Ad privacy choices” button in Settings work as described above. If you own “Remove ads” or the Permanent Boost, you are never asked.

Purchases

On Android the game offers one-time purchases (“Remove Ads”, “Permanent Boost” and the “Supporter Pack”) handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your card or payment details, name or Google account. The game asks Google Play what this account owns, saves the yes or no on your phone, and checks again from time to time. “Restore purchases” asks Google Play again. There is no subscription.

On iPhone and iPad the game offers one-time purchases handled entirely by Apple’s App Store: “Remove Ads”, “Permanent Boost” and the “Supporter Pack”. We never see your card or payment details, name or Apple Account. The game asks the App Store which of these purchases your Apple Account owns (Apple’s verified record of the transaction), saves the yes or no on your device, and checks again when the game starts and when you come back to it. “Restore purchases” syncs with the App Store first, which may ask you to sign in to your Apple Account, then asks again. If Apple refunds or revokes a purchase, the game takes back what it unlocked. There is no subscription.

Feedback and problem reports

Settings > Help & feedback has two buttons for reaching us. Neither sends anything until you send it from your own mail app.

What we receive. Because the message comes from your mail app, we receive your email address and anything your mail app adds (such as your name), together with what you wrote. We use it only to answer you and to fix the game. We do not share or sell it and do not use it for advertising. A copy stays in your mail app’s sent folder.

Accounts and analytics

Permissions

The game itself asks Android for vibration (for haptic feedback; you can turn it off in Settings) and internet access. The Google ads and billing libraries add the permissions they need: network state, the advertising ID and Google Play billing. The game does not use your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or files.

On iPhone and iPad the game asks for no system permission and never shows the “Allow to track” prompt. The Android permissions list does not apply.

iPhone and iPad

The iPhone and iPad version is the same game with these differences. It offers “Permanent Boost” and the “Supporter Pack” through Apple’s App Store, as described under “Purchases”. It can also offer rewarded video ads and sells “Remove Ads”, as described under “Ads”, “Consent and privacy options” and “Purchases”: ads are always non-personalised, the game never asks to track you, and no ad code runs until you have read the ads notice. The Android permissions list does not apply. Everything else in this policy applies: your game stays on your device, and feedback and problem reports go by your own mail app, as above.

Children

Spice Dynasty is meant for players aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13, we do not knowingly collect personal information from them, and ad requests are tagged as not child-directed. On Android ads may be personalised if you chose “Personalised ads”, as described under “Ads”; on iPhone and iPad they are always non-personalised. If you think a child under 13 has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

How long we keep things

Your rights, and the laws that apply

We are a small business in Australia. Whether or not the Privacy Act 1988 requires it of us, we follow the Australian Privacy Principles for the little personal information we handle. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, email us first; you can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we handle an email you send us on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering you and fixing the game, and ads are personalised only with your consent, given through Google’s consent form, which you can withdraw at any time through “Ad privacy choices”. On iPhone and iPad ads are always non-personalised; the ads code still stores and reads information on your device and sends it to Google only with the consent you give through Google’s form, which you can withdraw the same way. You have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to your data protection authority. Email us to use these rights. We will answer within a month; if a request is complex we may need up to two months more, and we will tell you within the first month if so. If we decide not to act on a request, we will tell you why within the month. Google (ads, consent and Google Play) is based in the United States and publishes its own safeguards for data sent to it; a purchase on iPhone or iPad is made with Apple under Apple’s own privacy policy; this website is hosted by Cloudflare.

If you live in a US state with a privacy law such as California’s, you can use the same rights by email. We do not sell your personal information ourselves. The ads library may send your device’s advertising ID to Google for personalised ads, which some US state laws call “sharing” or “selling”; you can opt out by choosing “Non-personalised ads” in Settings > Ads and your data, by turning off ad personalisation in Android settings, through “Ad privacy choices” in the game where it is shown, or by buying “Remove ads”. On iPhone and iPad ads are never personalised and the game never sends an advertising identifier, so nothing is “shared” for cross-context behavioural advertising; Google still receives your IP address and an app-level device identifier to serve, count and measure ads, in return for the ad income it pays us. Where your state’s law treats that as a “sale”, the “Ad privacy choices” button in Settings lets you opt out for free. We do not use your information to profile you.

How to delete your data

Your game lives on your phone: uninstall the game, or use “Reset save” in Settings, to delete it. A save code you exported is a normal piece of text outside the game: delete it yourself, and any copies you pasted elsewhere. To have an email you sent us deleted, write to support@bouncebackstudios.app from the address you sent it from. We hold no other copy of your data. We never receive or hold the data the ads library collects, so we cannot delete it ourselves. Google collects it directly from your phone, in return for the ad income it pays us, and decides how it is used. To have it deleted, use Google’s controls at myadcenter.google.com and policies.google.com/privacy, and reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings, which breaks the link to past ad data. On iPhone and iPad the ads code never has your advertising identifier; the identifier it uses is reset by iOS once all Bounceback Studios apps are deleted from the device. If you are in the EEA or UK and want help with a request to Google, email us. A purchase record is Apple’s or Google’s, under their own policies.

Changes to this policy

If the game starts handling data differently, we will update this page and its date before that version is released, and mention it in the game’s “What’s new”. Past changes, with the game version each applies from, are listed on the policy changes page.
